a simple and quick gift for mother's day
here you can see how easy and quick it is to create something as a gift
It's also really easy with XCS
My wife also likes to give me the challenge of making a small gift 2 hours before we leave :) This comes in handy because it can be created and cut in 20 minutes
Instruction
Step1: Text for the win
Find a font that you like. Since the text is engraved and not cut, it can also be a font with a filigree font or one that is not connected
Here I use the font from Xtool - Dancing Script
Bold and Regular
Step2: Symbols for beautiness
I also add a heart and 2 stars from XCS. this can be found on the side under shape and basic shape
I rotate the two stars a little to remove some of this straightness
Step3: Circle for the keyrings
now we add a circle to have the hole there for the cut
Step4: Outlines and tips
now select everything and choose outline
set the outline so high that the circle is included and everything is consistent
now select the outline and the circle and set them to be cut
then select the texts and the symbols and choose to engrave them
for an easier overview and later customization i always mark the cut in red and the engraved in blue
for such small projects i like to use old wood scraps as you can see in the picture
