Step1: Cutting of file

I've got the file color-coded with numbers. Number 1 is your back layer. On the word love, make sure to engrave it first and then go back and cut it out. You'll have extra hearts to either decorate with or keep for another project. 

When you glue the bottom you'll need to sand down the stem some so it sits flat.
