Sweet Summertime Door Hanger

• Start off with a circle 11.5" x 11.5"
• Add some flowers from the basic shapes on the left side panel
• I wanted this design to have 3 sections so I created three rectangles and placed them evenly on the circle
  • Make three copies of the objects.
  • You will go through each copy and select the first rectangle and the circle and on the right side panel, click “subtract at overlap”
  • on the second copied you will select the middle rectangle and the circle and “subtract at overlap" 
  • and finally the last one. You will be left with 3 sections that form a circle when put together. 
• Arrange your flowers on the top and bottom halves of the circle
• Add your text in the middle “Sweet Summertime”
  • Copy your Text and place on the 11.5" x 11.5" diameter, this will be scored on the back board so your text is striaght and aligned when you go to glue it on the board,
  • Make sure you align it centered on the board using the alignment icon on the right side panel.
• Now group each section together
• Add two small circles at the top of the 11.5" x 11.5" diameter
  • Set these to cut, these will be used for the rope.

Auto measure you material

Check all your objects settings.

Painting:

• For this design I chose to use some dark and light colors. 
• The flowers were painted with paint pens
• The two top and bottom halves were stained
• And I used spray paint for the middle section.

Gluing:

• Glue the two halves on the top and bottom making sure they are aligned on the edges
• Once dried glue the flowers into their slots
• Glue the text laste in the middle.

Now show it off to your neighbors!
